Contemporary Poolside Retreat
This home is within close proximity to the beach so it was imperative that any structures and products incorporated would be resistant to rust, salt and wind.
Landscaping Features
The client requested a low maintenance improvement to a tired pool and side garden area. They wanted the pool area to be modernised & functional to suit their family lifestyle and entertaining friends outside.
What was involved?
This project was a mid level backyard renovation that included updating the pool fence, creating a shaded seating area, side fencing update, new plants and trees installed as well as new turf.

As you can see the area next to the pool was quite run down and tired. A modern pergola has made the area functional and sun protected for spectators by the pool. Next to the pergola a neat shed like set up was designed and built to hide the filter and cleaning equipment. The new glass fenced has replaced the old metal one which has also allowed full viewing of the pool and modernised the look and feel.
The side screens located on the lawn area, directly next to the pool was also in need of some attention. New screens, plants and trees were installed. Along with an updated irrigation system and new compost soil to ensure the plants will thrive in the years to come without the owner having to worry about constant watering. The plants were also chosen for their hardiness in the area of Hove and the sea air. *Plant info to be added
A side garden was updated with new soil, plants and paving refresh to make the area more appealing to the eye.
